HCP Privacy Statement

Pharming Group N.V and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to as “Pharming’’, ‘’we’’, ‘’us’’),  when processing your personal data acts as data  controller.

This Privacy Statement is intended to Healthcare Professionals (‘’HCP’’)  who interact with Pharming and its affiliates (HCP Privacy Statement). This HCP Privacy Statement describes what information we collect about you, how we collect it and how we use it.  This Privacy Statement is supplemented with Pharming’s general Privacy Statement, for a general overview of how be manage your data please take both statements into consideration. Where local regulations apply, they will be followed.

Personal data we collect from you:

  • The categories of personal information that we collect, and use may include:
  • Identification information and contact details: including your full name, date of birth, tax number and other government identification numbers, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and  mailing addresses, country of residence and/or department.
  • Professional information: including professional role, title, professional credentials and certifications, medical specialty, license information, languages, work experience, membership of associations and boards, medical and scientific opinions given, and publications drafted, company, or organization that you work for or that you collaborate with.
  • Financial information: bank accounts and details related to your compensation and transfers of value from us to you or the organization that you work for.
  • We may collect information related to potential conflict of interest, disciplinary history, prior litigation and/ or regulatory proceedings.
  • Interaction information: communication preferences, use of our products, e-mails and messages, telephone calls, responses to surveys and events that you participate in, meetings and other activities, and your use of our digital channels and services.
  • Picture, video, and audio material, your picture or voice, photographs and video and audio recordings in connection with events, agreements or virtual meetings in which you participate.
  • Travel-related information, including your national ID number, passport number, driver’s license number, tax identification number and travel preferences.
  • When you access website, social media, apps and systems, we may collect information about how you use our websites and digital services/ platforms. When you interact with our content (such as downloads, pages visited, access time), device location, IP address and other online identifiers. How we collect your personal data

  • When you register for our newsletter or to receive information about our products through our websites or any other channel made available to you during events or through our commercial team.
  • When you enter into a collaboration or research agreement with us.
  • When you interact with our staff, register to receive marketing material and/or other information from us, attend our online and in-person meetings and events, use our websites, apps and systems, participate in our surveys, share or use your social media profile to interact with us.
  • When you submit a support or information request through any of our channels or when you contact us to lodge a complaint about a product or to report adverse event.
  • Publicly available sources, for example websites, official registers, publications, directories of HCPs, and professional and other social media platforms (including by social media listening tools, used to monitor what HCPs publish about us, our business, products and therapeutic areas we specialize in).
  • Pharming can receive your information through your patients when they submit an adverse event report or any other interaction where they have told us you are their HCP.
  • When you make any request for our products under any of our authorized access programs.
  • The organization that you work for, for example from your organization’s website or other communications material or agreement.
  • Event and travel management agencies in the context of organizing your participation at conferences and events that we attend, arrange or sponsor.

  • Third Parties, such as data companies who provide information services in the pharmaceutical sector to companies like ours and/or which maintain databases with HCPs’ personal information including professional information, publications, medical specialization, information related to fair market value related to compensation and fees, For example, Pharming uses Veeva OpenData  to access professional information about you and for transparency reporting  purposes. Interaction with HCPs We actively communicate with you about medical and/ or product information, research and project opportunities, marketing about our products.

We may also contact you to respond to your medical questions, support request or complaints.

We may communicate with you in the context of adverse event reporting.

Depending on the interaction we rely on your consent, performance of a contract or legitimate interest.
Fees, expenses & financial support Pharming may provide you with financial support to attend to our meetings, events or conferences.

We may also provide financial support  in research, grants and fellowship.To pay for the contracted services provided by you or your organization and reimburse any expenses previously agreed upon. 

Performance of a contract and/ or consent.
Research projects As part of clinical and scientific research we may use your information to recruit you as an investigator or conduct trainings. Consent, legitimate interest or performance of a contract.
Transparency reporting When complying with different regulations Pharming will need to report information related to direct or indirect payments made to HCPs.

Pharming may share data with third parties to determine fair market value.

Compliance with  legal obligations, performance of a contract or consent.
Legal and regulatory compliance and claims We may need to use your personal data when complying with legal obligations and regulatory requirements, included but not limited to:

Monitoring the safety of our products including adverse event and product complaints.

Responding to requests from public authorities and regulators.

Litigation, claims, administrative procedures or any other instance related to defending and exercising legal rights and claims.
